Hull's lost Rollerworld captured in throwback 1990s photos
From staff who worked there to the kids who loved it

Scenes from Hull's lost Rollerworld have been unearthed in these throwback photos from the 1990s.
Back in January 1997, we paid a visit to the then new Rollerworld skating rink, which was located on Canning Street in Hull.
Images from the Hull Daily Mail archives show everything from the early days of the venue, from the staff who worked there to kids watching the action from the side lines and others having a great time with their skates on.

Back in May 1997, the Beverley Advertiser also advertised Rollerworld's rollerskating birthday parties - which cost £5 per person and included a meal, drink, games and skate hire.
The premises were cleared to make way for the St. Stephen's development, but the business closed before then. Here are some throwback photos from its 90s days - you may spot a familiar face or two.
