An investigation has been launched after a man was found dead in Hull.

Eyewitnesses said they saw a police cordon and forensic tent in Lambert Street at around 6pm on Wednedsay, September 18. Humberside Police confirmed a man's body was found and his family had been informed and were being supported.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: "Officers were in attendance on Lambert Street in Hull following the discovery of a man’s body yesterday, Wednesday 18 September.

"Investigations are in their early stages and the death is being treated as unexplained at this time. The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by officers.

"Anyone with information that may assist our enquiries is asked to call our non-emergency 101 line quoting log 314 of 18 September or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
