The massive concert that brought Girls Aloud, Sugababes, Ronan Keating and more to Hull's East Park
It's 20 years ago this month since the Viking FM Big Bash

Two decades ago this month, the biggest names in pop descended on East Park for a massive open-air concert. Girls Aloud, Ronan Keating, Sugababes and Blue were among the headliners at Foxy and Tom's Viking FM Big Bash.
Around 20,000 fans flooded into the east Hull venue for the three-and-a-half-hour pop party, which also featured the late Darius Campbell Danesh. At the time, the Hull Daily Mail reported: "Not even the pouring rain could dampen the spirits. The crowd roared, the stars revelled in their glory and even police officers waved their lighters."
We've dug out pictures from our archives, including faces in the crowds and some of the stars. Were you there?
